Movie Review
‘Pirates
of Silicon Valley’ is a movie that explores the rivalry between Steve Jobs and
Bill Gates on the development of personal computers. It shows the history and
relationship between Apple Inc. and Microsoft Inc.
I
don’t really know much about Gates and Jobs. All I know is that both of them
are rich and are constantly at each other’s throats. I just had this notion
that both of them are awesome since they helped and contributed a lot to the
development of technology. I also know that people think highly of them because
of that. This movie showed their early years in the business. It showed their
passion in developing computers and also their negative sides. Like how Jobs had a hard time acknowledging her own daughter and how Gates developed Windows from an Apple software.
I
was surprised to see that Gates and Jobs were once friends. The thought never
came to my mind so I was really surprised to see it. Especially when Gates
worked for Apple, Jobs trusted him then BAM! Betrayal. Funny how he’s the
richest man today when he started off with working for his rival company.
