“Mathematics is Life”
In this book it was said that mathematics is life because of the joined force of the biology and mathematics that help us to understand more what LIFE is. Since years ago until now lots of discoveries has been made due to this joined force. The author mention about the five great revolutions of biology and maybe six on its way and that is applying mathematics in biology. By this new techniques and new point of view about mathematics and biology will help us not just to understand but also how does it works and how it may help us.
Also in the book explained how mathematics helps the biological studies and I quoted “Mathematics is being used not just to help biologists manage their data, or improve their instruments, but on a deeper level: to provide significant insights into the science itself, to help explain how life works.”It is clearly stated there was a connection between these two form of studies in all aspects and personally those aspects are wide that I hardly know even in the slightest.
“Life is one of those annoying concepts that can usually be recognised when you see it, but turns out to be hard to pin down precisely.”I quoted from the chapter when the author talk about if alien do exist. Its true even in reality we easily speak about life, my life or your life but explaining how life works gives you really hard time. Same goes with the scientists and mathematicians it takes lot of theories to pin down any right explanation of life.
The sixth evolution, the last chapter of the book, is applying mathematics like what I said earlier and according to this biology or any other branches of science can no longer further studies without acknowledging the existence of other branches of science and of course the mathematics. Accepting this will widen the possibility of more discoveries.
